Bridger Wilderness Outfitters and the DC Bar Guest Ranch offer a real western experience in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. We are located adjacent to the Bridger Wilderness and the Bridger-Teton National Forest surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Gro Ventres and the Wind River Mountains. We offer guided horse pack trips, hunting and fishing trips, hiking and backpacking trips, along with a wide range of activities right from our guest ranch. Winter fun includes snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

DC Bar Guest Ranch

The Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch is a unique dude ranch experience. Our ranch stays are designed to get you into the feel of the old west. Horseback riding, canoe trips, fly fishing and overnight pack trips are just some of the more popular activities. This is a great place for the whole family. Our guest ranch and cabins are located in the woods at the end of the road, just waiting for you.

Outfitter and Guide School

Since 1988 we have been running an intensive 4 week Outfitter and Guide school where we teach the outdoor skills needed to become a top quality wilderness guide. This School actually made the cover of USA Today and can currently be viewed on The Outdoor Channel. Graduates of the Guide School who have shown promise are usually hired on for the season and continue their training by working under the guidance of one of our seasoned wilderness guides.

Pack Trips

Bridger Wilderness Outfitters has led hunting, fishing and sight seeing expeditions into the Bridger Wilderness and the Wind River Range since 1983.

If you are interested in getting back into the Bridger Wilderness Area of the Wind River Mountains, let Bridger Wilderness Outfitters give you a hand.

Fully guided pack trips, by horseback, really allows us to show off our area to you. We offer pack trips in all duration from an overnight up to 14 days. Our premier pack trip is called "Ride The Winds" and follows the continental divide for 7 days covering 120 miles.

If you want to hike, we offer backpacking and hiking tours. Our premier trekking tour is called "A Walk On The Winds" and follows the Continental Divide for either 8 or 10 days.

Maybe you prefer our gear delivery service, we call gear drops. If you want to stay by yourself but you want to ride a horse into the wilderness site of your choice and have your gear packed in, check out our spot pack service.
