Fishing

The Fishing in the Bridger Wilderness Area of Wyoming is World Famous. We have both the Green River and the New Fork Rivers right here in the valley. The Wind River Mountains (Bridger Wilderness Area) has 1,300 lakes and over 800 miles of streams. Here you can find 6 different types of Trout and Arctic Grayling.

The Bridger Wilderness Area of Wyoming is the home to the World Record Golden Trout. (I have personally guided 5 different IGFA line class world records on Golden Trout). This area also holds the Wyoming state records for; Brook Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Arctic Grayling.

A beginning flyfisherman can learn so much, so quick here, because there are just so many cooperating fish to work with. The experienced fisherman is also challenged by the chance at trophy size fish. When you combine all of this with such a spectacular area, you just can not go wrong .

The Wind River Mountain Range is absolutely spectacular. (Did you know that this is the area which inspired the current United States National Forest Service policy and that the Bridger-Teton National Forest is the very first National Forest ever?) We sure would be excited to show this area off to you. We have permits which allow us to travel both the Bridger Wilderness Area and the Gros Ventres Wilderness Area, along with the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

I have been guiding this area since 1983. If you are looking to find one of those out of the way, special wilderness camp spots, try our guided pack trips. If you want to enjoy a float drift fishing trip on one of our famous rivers, we can help you there also. If you give me a call we can design a trip just for you.
