Flyfishing - Guided Pack Trips - Bridger Wilderness Area

We offer guided pack trips including fly fishing trips throughout the whole Bridger Wilderness area of the Wind River Mountain Range, the Gros Ventres Wilderness Area and the southern portion of Gros Ventres Mountain range.

Fishing trips can be designed for large numbers of fish per day, or we can go for fewer but bigger fish. We can design trips to combine for for several different species of trout. All of our trips get back into spectacular mountain country.

We do mostly catch and release fishing, however some of our lakes have so many fish that it is good to harvest a few from them. We believe that the "Big" fish are for sport and the smaller ones are for eating. We would be excited to fix you fresh trout over a campfire.

We can offer guided pack trips for everything from a two day to a fourteen day trips. On all of our guided pack trips we will supply all the camp equipment, wilderness staff, and a guide to show you all those secret spots. Our camp food is fantastic. Horses remain in camp with us and we have them to get to distant waters if we want.

Our standard 5 day fully guided pack trip is the most popular. This allows a day to pack in, a day to pack out, and three days of fishing/sightseeing. We offer many different types of trips and can design just about anything you could want.

July 5 - 9, 2010 This is our favorite "Big Fish" pack trip.We are aiming to lakes and rivers that are known to have very large fish (some 20 inch and above) where even the intermediate fisherman will have a chance to experience 60 fish days. Lots of tight lines and fun.

July 12 -16, 2010 This is a 5 day pack trip trip designed to after the biggest Golden trout at Ice Out. This trip has resulted in 5 IGFA line class World Records to date. This trip goes a bit further into the wilderness than the standard trips.

August 16 - 22, 2010 This is a special 7 day sight-seeing and fishing pack trip. On this trip we will blend great fishing along with spectacular scenery. We will move camp once to a different location during this trip. The fishermen in your group will be happy to know we will be going to area with some of our largest fish. This will be a great trip for all.

Ride the Winds Trips

“Ride The Winds” is without doubt one of the most spectacular horse pack trips in the country. We have taken 7 Day, 10 Day and 14 Day trips. My favorite is the 14 Day Trip. To travel horseback through this spectacular wilderness for two weeks straight is an experience I always look forward to with relish.

The Bridger Teton National Forest was our nation’s very first National Forest and is still one of the largest and wildest in the US. Most of Wyoming’s tallest mountains are located here along with 6 of the largest 7 glaciers in the contiguous 48 states. The Bridger Wilderness area has over 1,300 lakes and over 1,000 are known to have trout. We have six types of trout and arctic Grayling. Four of the states fish records come from this area along with the World Record Golden Trout. Come and see why this area inspired the very first National Forest policy.
