I get so many calls each year from past Guide School students who tell me how much they think about the time they spent with us and of how much of an impact Guide School made on their life. It is very apparent that this is much more than just an educational program - it is an adventure unlike any you have ever experienced. The Outfitter and Guide School Apprenticeship program is a 4 week training designed to give you both a wonderful adventure and a unique opportunity to learn some great outdoor wilderness skills. This intensive training program is based out of our Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch. Click here to review our school schedule and rates and our curriculum. You should have some outdoor experience prior to applying. You will be living outdoors most of your time here and prior experience living outdoors is very important. You should be used to hard work. You will come up against many different types of adversity and you will need to figure out how to best resolve each one. You should be a self disciplined self starting type of person. A lot of responsibility will be placed upon your shoulders and we will count on you to handle your share. We offer curriculum that will allow you to learn all you should need to know to start guiding. Employment with Bridger Wilderness Outfitters and our Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch is almost always a guarantee for good students who have done well with the school and wish to help us out for the season.
