Snowmobile
The ranch has a very rustic and unique atmosphere. We have
fully equipped cabins for rent (linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, utensils
),
but can also provide meals for larger groups. The ride up to the ranch is 5 miles over snow in the winter. We'll meet
you at the parking lot the first time and give you a hand moving up. After
that most repeat clients take pride in just meeting us at the cabin. You will find unlimited off trail riding, along with hundreds of miles
of groomed and maintained trails. You can ride up to one of our feed grounds
and watch the elk. (Family's who come for Christmas have been known to
claim these to be Reindeer). There are several rides where you can go
to a distant destination, gas up and come back.
We have been told time and time again that this area is the best ever
seen. You can find areas that are exciting and challenging to the best
of riders, which also have areas close by for the beginner/intermediate
rider. The terrain is excellent and the views are simply spectacular.
Even the beginner/intermediate rider can get up on top of some of the
mountains. This makes a great spot for the whole family. Even on the busiest
of weekends, you'll wonder where the crowds are. You can always find untracked
powder and often without riding more than ½ hour from the door
of your cabin..
There are restaurants in the area. Snowmobiles and gear rentals are available. Arrangements need be made prior to arrival. How to find us: We are located adjacent to the 3 1/2 million acres of the Bridger National
Forest with hundreds of miles of groomed and maintained trails. We are
30 miles north of Pinedale. Our turn off is at mile marker 19 on Highway
352 (Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch sign), however for winter access, you
continue down 352 until you arrive at the large snowmobile parking area.
On your first visit we will arrange to meet you to guide you the 5 miles
up to the ranch by snowmobile. We will have sleds to help you get your
supplies up. If you have sleds it would be good to bring them. We do have
sleds to borrow if you have the tab style hitch. Bring a cell phone and
give us your projected arrival time and we can meet you.
